Are you interested in learning the art of bigleaf maple sugaring? Would you like to try your hand at maple syrup production on your woodland? Join us for a workshop with the Oregon Maple Project, a women-led organization who have been providing education around maple sugaring for 5 years here in Oregon!
This workshop will introduce the history, science, and best practices of Pacific Northwest maple sugaring including a tour of the sugarbush (where trees are tapped) and sugar shack (where maple sap is transformed into a delicious syrup). The workshop will also include a taste testing, and the optional to purchase a small tapping kit to take home.
Early birds are welcome to join at 9:30 a.m. for coffee and maple donuts.
