WV Women Owning Woodlands Field Tour
Pendleton County, WV (near Ft. Seybert)

WV Women Owning Woodlands is hosting a field tour of a property where a woman landowner partnered with women foresters and other natural resource professionals to:

• Place the property under a conservation easement with WVLT

• Implement a project to protect the riverbank and improve water quality

• Develop Golden-winged Warbler habitat

• Test different methods for starting several wildflower meadows

The day will also include a short hike to a pond in the forest. For participants interested in wading across the river, there will be an opportunity to view tree planting, invasive species removal, fencing, and the installation of a solar pump water trough.
